Moving Forward

The Election is over and Barrack Obama is the President-Elect of the United States. I’m very excited and happy with that result and I’m looking forward to common sense returning to Washington.

I got a little emotional as the results came in on the west coast and it was pretty much over. It took me until well after midnight to calm down enough that I could get some sleep before going to bed.

But now that the election is over, the hard work begins.

I was also disappointed last night with this from the LA TImes.

It’s very upsetting to see that while the nation is finially putting one issue of equality behind them, the gay and lesbian community still has a long road to go. Adding legal discrimination to state constitutions is horrifying. I do hope that the Obama administration repeals DOMA.
